66 x 65cm.
Itajime resist patterns dyed with varieties of tannins and locally foraged natural dyes from the studio garden, art travels, or our kitchen compost. Current Texas locals include: Passionvine, Loquat, Black Bean, and Yellow Onion.
Dyed on reclaimed cotton sheet in Egyptian, Indian, Pima, and Sateen versions of cotton sheet at varied weights, the original luster remains throughout the process, and the differences in thread count uniquely soak up the dye.
Sold individually.
Everyday art gift wraps made to be used like traditional Japanese furoshiki to transport everyday items like books or lunch, or to wrap gifts from small bundles items like soaps to larger wine bottles, and are easy to fold and store. Popular as a sustainable, reusable, and environmentally friendly update to paper gift and plastic wrap. Light enough to be worn as a hair wrap or bandana or wall displayed.
